Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I-485 denied on marriage base

Hi,

I would greatly appriciate that if someone could advice me, what to do next. I have got married with US citizen and I have filled for adjustment of my status, but almost after 5 months now I have recived a letter that my application for AUS status is denied because immigration did not recived my recived what they had requested from me. I have spoken to my attorney and he told me that immigration did not recived my date of birth cirtificate that is why they have denied my pettion.

Now I want to reopen my pettion so I want a good advice what to do next, should I change my attorney, how long its going to take, and what would be my status right now?

So CIS did not receive the birth cert. because you did not have it or because your attorney did not mail it to CIS (but you provided it to your attorney)? Or you and your attorney never received CIS notice requesting the birth cert.?

You need to provide your detailed facts first before any attorney can provide a meaningful answer.

You need to reapply. Changing the attorney would be a good decision. he may not have responded to the Request for evidence on time.
