Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Psychological abuse defined?

Hello,

My wife has been indicating she wants to leave me on the basis of psychological abuse and apply for removal of her conditional status.

can anyone provide me with a definition of psychological abuse in terms of immigration law? Or more accurately, can you tell me what are specific acts or actions that would be interpreted as psych abuse, and what evidence/supporting information is required to prove this for removal of conditional status?

I don't believe I am doing anything close to this, but Her claim is that I ignore her too much and that is abuse.

Re: Psychological abuse defined?

This is not easy to lay out in a short answer format such as this. "Psychological abuse" could include emotional abuse. In practical terms, the INS will probably only take seriously any claim of abuse from your wife if there are professional opinions from psychologists that you "abused" her.
