Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

If my adult children who live with me, or if I am sued for an accident in Calif. can the injured party attach my home if my insurance is insufficient to cover the lose? I am thinking of lowering my insurance coverage now that I am retired.

you can be sued and lose your house for your accident. An accident by your adult child, with certain exceptions, will not give the right to attach your house.
