Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

Car accident

I would like to get information on the settlement that i have received from Injurys claim, i'm not sure if this amount that they are offering me is correct but i do feel like they are not paying me enough to cover my bills and some of these bills went to collection.

Re: Car accident

Usually the insurance company paying on a claim will notify the injured party of the payment for the very reason that a lawyer might not tell the client about the settlement payment. If you have a dispute with your attorney, try to work it out. If you can't, you're entitled to go to nonbinding arbitration or file a small claims lawsuit.

Are you using an attorney? If so, ask him/her.

If you are not using an attorney, you may have a more difficult time figuring out what your case is worth. You may want to read my blog, http://www.calpiblog.com which talks about what you are entitled to recoverf and why there is no formula.

Finally, if you do not have an attorney, you may want to talk to someone, even if you have to pay for an hour or two of their time to get an opinion.
