Who is at fault in a rear end auto collision?

When you are the front car in three car rear end collision, is the person directly behind you at fault for damage to your car, even if they were hit from behind first?

Re: Who is at fault

The one at fault is the one who caused the accident. If the person behind you came to a lawful stop and was then rear ended then they are not at fault.
