Can a insurance investigator ask for phone records and bank statements in regards to a stolen vehicle claim.

When they start doing that, in my experience they're often more interested in finding ways to deny your claim than paying it. Although you have an obligation to cooperate with your insurance carrier, you should assume they're looking to find a financial motives for you to have your own car stolen so that you could collect the payment. It's best you retain an experienced attorney to assist you.
