What liability does a business parking lot have for car damage done by a curb or parking buffer?

Those darn curbs are always getting drunk and crashing into innocent motorists' vehicles.

Seriously, there can be defective and/or dangerous objects or conditions in parking lots, and people who are suitably aggrieved can sue over them. Sometimes they win.
