Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

I got rear ended when I changed lane in front of a truck. I had plenty of room except a pedestrian ran out and i slamed on my brakes to avoid hitting him and got hit i the rear and she tried to go around me and said "oh I looked up and saw brake lights". Now this was in a 25 mi. hr zone with lots of people around. There is a lot more details.I only have state minimum & she had full coverage. My company didn't help me & her insurance company decided to send it to some kind insurance arbatraition & I lost .My insuranse co. paid her off but did not raise my insurance or put it on my record. Does this seem fair to you ?

More than fair. What do you care? It cost you nothing. It didn't raise your rates, and its not on your record. What's your problem?
