Legal Question in Insurance Law in California

I won my small claims appeal against the driver who rear ended me. For the original small claims case and appeal..the insurance company's attorney was present. REceived a letter from appeals dept awarding me the money I sued for. How do I collect now?

Write to the insurance company attorney (with a copy to the defendant) and tell them if you are not paid in full within 15 days you will garnish the defendant's wages.
