Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Copyrights - how much creativity must it have?

How much creativity in the format of a list/survey have in order for it to be copyrighted?

I am having trouble finding a lawyer that can answer some questions for me. My questions about the material is adult orientated (not pornography or adult entertainment) and no one wants to answer the questions I need. If anyone can help in that area, then please help!

Re: Copyrights - how much creativity must it have?

The basic issue here is that you cannot obtain a copyright for facts, such as are often found in lists. You can only obtain a copyright on the visual expression of the idea.

You are well advised to contact an attorney that specializes in intellectual property, into which copyright falls.
