Is it illegal to upload a voicemail to you tube?

I recently received a threatening voicemail from another individual which I uploaded to You Tube, is this illegal?

Probably not, but if the caller contacts YouTube, they'll probably take it down, and send you an email demanding that you respond with an explanation, etc.

It's probably best NOT to air the dirty laundry in public. That kind of thing usually just escalates, and since this person has already threatened you, escalation probably means acting on that threat.

Better safe than sorry.
