Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

Life Insurance Policy

My recently deceased husband was owner and beneficiary of a policy for a family member. Am I under California law now the owner and beneficiary for that policy. Monthly installment payments have been taken out of our joint bank account for all these many years I am sure he believed it was in both our names.

If you were married to him after the policy was taken out, maybe. You had better get a lawyer before the insurance company pays the other person.
