Legal Question in Intellectual Property in California

I had a friend stay with me for a couple of months, in those months he managed to ruin my mothers counter top in the kitchen. He said he would pay for it, but now he refuses. If I sued him do you think I would win?

Try small claims, study the procedures, prepare your evidence (photos, estimates) and witness (mom), and justice will prevail.
