Website idea
Hi there, suppose I have an idea for a website that I don't want someone to steal, but yet I need to reveal it to certain folks that I'll need to help me make it a reality. How do I keep someone from stealing that idea?

Re: Website idea
Use a good non-disclosure and non-compete agreement. Don't tell a soul about your idea without this agreement or you will very likely lose this opportunity.
Re: Website idea
Typical manner of protecting your ideas is to use a non-disclosure agreement. The more protection desired, the more strict the agreement. You can find samples of NDA's on the web.
Re: Website idea
My colleagues are correct that an NDA is a good idea. However, if the website idea or concept can be tied to a name, then you should also consider filing an Intent-to-Use trademark or service mark application to tie up the rights to the name. If you would like assistance, please contact me.
