Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Still awaiting decision from hearing officer.

DLSE hearing ended Nov. 21, 2006 and was told by hearing officer decision would be issued in 45 days. I have called and sent letters with no response. My lawyer(state provided) says theres nothing he can do except wait for hearing officer. Who can I call? Who supervises Dlse? Who can I get help or answers from?

Re: Still awaiting decision from hearing officer.

As of today (01/02/07), it has only been 42 days since the hearing. Labor board hearing officers will often take the entire 45 days to render a decision. I would sit tight until the middle of next week before you start making phone calls and writing letters again. You should have your decision be next week.
