Background Investigations

When an agency is providing Criminal backgrounds to an employer, what can they include in their report? Can they include everything in a criminal case if there was a conviction or pleading of guilty. Is anything private in the Criminal case file?

Anything that is a matter of public record may be included in the report. If details of the case are contained in a court file, your employer may have access to it. You may wish to speak to a criminal defense attorney about how to have your file sealed.
