Legal Question in Employment Law in California

California Labor Law

The company i worked for has started the process of receivership. They've sent out an email that says employees are considered 'laid off', except for those employees still needed to wrap up work at the business. They are refusing to pay accrued Vacation days or Severance. We've also not received notice of end of benefits. Besides filing with the Department of Employment, what other actions should we take?

You can file a Claim with the Bankruptcy Court if the company files there.
