Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I'm trying to collect unemployment for the 1st time ever. The General Mgr. of the company has lied to stop me from collecting. I have a very credible witness who can contradict the lies. General Mgr and company have a long history of labor impropieties and illegal practices. EDD 1st said I qualified for unemployment, then said they needed to investigate, they were not thorough with their investigation, and now I'm suppose to have a tentitive hearing with a labor judge. Not only was I unjustly fired or layed-off, my charactor and reputation have been compromised and disparaged. Also Gen. Mgr, has had at least two sexual harrassment suits filed against him, that I know of, and there are several other major infractions that he has participated in.
