Legal Question in Employment Law in California

If a company shuts down for 2 weeks for the holidays should they pay the employees for this time? Should they pay for Holidays?

Should the company pay employees for the holidays? That would be a nice fringe benefit. Are they required to do so? No, not unless it is part of a contract negotiated with the employee, individually, or through a union.

Should is a moral question, not a legal one. There is no law that requires it.
