Legal Question in Employment Law in California

A co-worker got an approval from the ap manger to let a client leave with a balance of $1,000. The head boss blew a gasket and wants to suspend EVERYBODY in the office for 3 days. (even though most of us weren't even there that day). Is that legal? Furthermore she gave us an ultimatum pay $58 toward her loss of that income... or suspension.

Do I have any rights in this?

Employers cannot require employees to pay for losses such as what you describe. If the employer persists with this demand, consult with an employment law attorney near you.
