If an employee makes up time and acually works more than what was required for that week but that week actually has a holiday, would the employer have to pay the overtime or would it be paid as straight time?

The basic rule is that if a non-exempt employee works more than 8 hours in a 24 hour period or more than 40 hours in a 7 day period, they are to be paid overtime.
