Legal Question in Employment Law in California

If an employee is written up for an infraction how long does an employer have to let the employee know he has been written up?

There is no legal requirement to do so, but it would be foolish not to advise the employee, otherwise the employee has no opportunity to improve to avoid later discipline or termination. .
