Legal Question in Employment Law in California

former employer

My former supervisor, when contacted by a potential new employer. Is talking negative about me. I was not fired and still have a friendship with his supervisor. Is he breaking any law.

No. If he is saying PROVABLY false statements you could bring action for slander. If so, feel free to contact me to discuss your rights, remedies and costs.
