Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My friend signed an agreement with her employer agreeing to not solicit clients from other agencies... She is now considering retirement and was wondering if upon her retirement if this written agreement would be legally be considered null and void...

It depends on whether the agreement specifically addresses the subject but if she is retiring, I suppose that means she no longer intends to solicit ANY clients. Typically, agreement such as this one, however, will address subjects such as death, incapacity, etc of restricted individual.
