Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My Husband and I lost our house, a chevy silverado, and a dodge powerwagon when we worked as truck drivers for this man in Apple Valley,Ca. He carefully chose a trailer for us to store everything we owned. We really sruggled because we didnt have the money to get our belongings. His son asked us to come and get it but we didnt have the money or a job and were about to be living in our car. He took it upon himself to cut our lock off of the trailer and stole everything exept our pictures. We just found out our employment was under the table and this man owes us for 8 trips. What can we do about this situation ?

If you are owed money, or damages for 'theft', you can sue, and you can file a police report for the theft.
