Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i got injured at work on 10-1-08, i've been on disability till 6-2-10 the dr. released me to go back to work .....but no work....i tried to sign up for unemployment but they said i didn't pay in for 11/2 yrs. and i was supposed to put a hold on my unemployment when i got hurt..it doesn't say anything about that in any informational pamphlet i have recieved........and trying to get help from unemployment is a waste of time.....what can i do?

Look for a new job. Your time off work means you don't qualify for unemployment, and your release to work means you don't qualify for State Disability payments after the release.
