made to attend a work function unknown

I was told by my boss to attend a dinner theater ( mandatory ) and i had to pay i did not know what play it was. after arriving and it got started it was a play about adultery. Do i have grounds to take legal action?

The mere fact of adultery shown theatrically would not be illegal, but the situation raises other interesting questions: was the production risque, did it use foul language, did it demean women (or for that matter men), did it include sexually explicit or offensive materials, scenes, or situations, and did it evidence bias against persons because of certain religious preerences? The possibilities are endless, and the facts are lacking. However, even "art" can become part of a "hostitle work environment", and where you have been required to attend an offsite location, that new location, and the performance, become an extension of the workplace.

To paraphrase Edgar Alan Poe: "All we are, and all we seem, is but a scene within a scene".
