Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Misrepresented By My Union

I am a member of IATSE, Local 80. We are being presented with a proposed contract between IATSE and the AMPTP. My question is this:

My leadership is intentionally misleading the membership with lies, fear, and general obfuscation tactics in their attempts to quickly get us, the members, to a ratify a contract that is patently not in our best interest.

I want to know if I, and my fellow members, have standing to pursue some sort of legal recourse.

Re: Misrepresented By My Union

Besides opposing ratification, your options may be complex and would have to be explored specifically. Is it something many of you agree on and would be willing to chip in for?

Best,

Daniel Bakondi, Esq.
