In a notice of completion form, I do not understand what "Nature of interest or estate is:in fee". What does that mean?

It is short for "fee simple absolute." It is a remanant of old English feudal land title law, and means ownership of the property, as opposed to a leasehold, life estate, or any of the other rights to possess or occupy real property that are recognized in law.
