Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I have been offered a job in Sacramento California and the company says they will pay me and my family to move to that state from Texas. They want me to sign a agreement which says I have to pay back the moving money they paid if I don't stay for at least one and onehalf years. What if we don't like the job and I quit. Do I have to repay the money they paid to move us?

Yes. That's what such contracts are for. Choose wisely.

That is EXACTLY what that contract means. Make sure if you sign it that it only applies if you voluntarily leave, not if you are let go.
