Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Hello. I have a question regarding per diem and travel. If you travel out of town for work for two nights and three days, and they give you a food allowance of $20.00 a day. Are they required to give you any allowance for the third day if you do not arrive back in your town until later in the day?

Thank you,

Rikki ~ Sacramento, CA

Who is "they"? Unless you are a public employee or a member of a union, you get whatever you can negotiate with your employer. Nearly all employers pay much more than $20 in per diem. Look up the GSA Per Diem for government employees for a comparison.
