Yup. Too bad the "Right to Work" initiative died in the November election and Brown won. Of course I'm talking the November 1958 election in which an initiative to prohibit exactly what is being done to you went down in flames, and Edumund G. "Pat" Brown (father of Edmund G. "Jerry" Brown) soundly defeated William F. Knowland, who supported the initiative. Ever since then, it's been legal to force you to join a union at a unionized employer, or pay an "agency fee."
