Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Required hours of work

I work as a salaried food service manager at a professional baseball stadium. When the team is playing, I am often required to work 12 to 14 hour per day for up to 12 days in a row with out a day off.

Are there laws that state what the maximum required working hours are for salaried employees?

Re: Required hours of work

There is not a limit as to the number of hours, unless agreed to in a contract with your employer or through a union agreement. However, I wonder if you might be misclassified as "salaried." If so, and if you should be an hourly worker (there's a good chance of that, actually) you may be entitled to overtime pay for all those extra hours worked.
