can a restaurant owner require employee's to bring and provide money for all transactions made with patrons? all bartenders bring at least 500 dollars a shift.the owners dont want to go to the bank everyday,so we have to.

No. Employees can not be required to 'fund' the business expenses. You could file a complaint with the local Labor Commissioner office for help. Then, if you are retaliated against in any way, feel free to contact me to discuss the lawsuit that would justify.
