Sexual Harrashment and Privacy

In the case of a sexual harrashment compaint, is the accused entitled to any form of privacy? Would discussion of the case, by the accuser, with other employees, not involved in the investigation, be considered retalitory? Would the the employer ve liable for this retalitation if so?
