Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My sister is constantly being verbally abused by her supervisor at work, whenever she addresses it to the manager she ignores her pleas. When my sister recently had a head injury at work they blamed her for it and told her they were not liable and even said it wasn't work related even though she got hurt on the job. Her supervisor continued to force her to work despite the doctors note stating no bending or lifting. She is afraid she will get fired. And when she stood up for herself her supervisor belittled her and told her "You probably have your momma tie your shoelaces and dress you!" because my mother and I are the ones telling her to stand up to them. She is so sick and stressed everyday that she cannot hardly function due to the stress and constant verbal abuse at work. What can she do?

She needs to immediately file a WCAB claim and application for workers compensation benefits and if her condition both physically and mentally are serious enough, a trating doctor may need to take her off work and she can't be fired because it considered to be retaliatory and there are hefty penalty for termination at that point.
