Legal Question in Employment Law in California

had a situation at work were another employee was sitting at a desk i sat at for the pass 6yrs i asked for my desk and she got in my face at that time i was sent home by my supervisor who said she would call me back my supervisor has been harrassing me for at least 5 of the years i've worked for the company i then left my place of employement and went to my doctors office under stressed and my doctor took me off work for 2 weeks and faxed the excuse to my supervisor. the folllowing day i received a voice message from my supervisor stating that i've been terminated from my duties of 6years do to my doctors reason for excusing me from work... mind you my supervisor sent me home because of the altication can i be terminated for such reason? is this an unlawful termination?

My first piece of advice is to KEEP THAT RECORDING. Make a copy of it if you can. Hold it up to a recording device and make sure to also record the date and time of the message.

If that recording says you are being terminated because of your doctor's note taking you off work, then you may have a very good case of disability discrimination.
