Legal Question in Employment Law in California

stress related mental disorder due to overwork

I worked for a company for approximately 18-19 years. During most of my tie there I had to work many, many long hurs to complete all tasks made my responsibilities. After three nervous breakdowns my mental condition worsened and became completely disabled with schizophrenia and acute depression. Do I have any recourse in sueing this company for the demand of overtime that led to my disability. It is now in question whether I will ever re-enter the work field and will probably never live the life style fiancially as prior to my diagnosis.

Mr. Cohen has pointed you in the right direction regarding your health concerns. Of potential importance is what work were you doing for this company? The question is important to determine whether or not you should have been paid for your overtime. Please either let the board know what work you were doing, or you may contact me at [email protected]
