Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am being sued for violation of employment Proprietary Information Agreement. I do not understand how this is possible since none of their clients are with my new organization?

It may be a veiled attempt to keep you from competing, which is illegal for them to do. Unfortunately, you now must defend yourself. You will need to retain counsel for something like this.
