Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Terminating Employment - Still entitled to raise??

I am terminating my employment with my current employer. My yearly review is 4 months late and along with that the 3%-5% raise that comes with it. If I quit, am I still entitled to the raise? They would retro-pay me back to April 1, 2001 (when my review was due).

Re: Terminating Employment - Still entitled to raise??

Unless you are entitled to a fixed raise pursuant to contract, pay raises are discretionary and you cannot compel the employer to pay you retroactively.
