Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I was transferred to another store because they didn't have a position for me at the store I was working at. About 2 weeks ago I got a call saying they needed me in that store because they had someone quit and needed the coverage. I worked at my old store for a week and went on vacation. Now they want to hire someone for that store. I have requested over and over to be transfered back to the old store, can they hiri someone new in that store?

You are an "at will" employee. They can post you at whatever store they believe you are best suited for, and at which you best serve their needs. All you can do is ask for accomodation. You have no legal right to force your employer to use you where you want to work.
