Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I am working in MO for company head quaters in CA. I am working on 1099 independent contractor.

My employer owe me some money but he is not paying. I have legal agreement with him about the

contract. How I can enforce the law.

Is there a way that he can getaway with out paying me the money.

Thanks
