Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Wrongful termination - denial of disability benefits

I've been employed with a major phone company since 6/5/2000. I've been on State Disability since 5/10/2004 & underwent posterior/anterior spinal fusion of L5-S1 on 8/10/2004. I'm released to return to full duty on 5/10/2005. My company terminated employment on 12/6/2004. I could possibly have returned to modified duty in January. My company also denied all disability benefits, forcing me to pay $400+ in insurance costs per month and receive nothing from the company. The company also did some unethical things prior to surgery. I've documented everything from day 1.

Do I have a possible lawsuit that a law firm might take on contingency? Any information would be helpful and enlightening. I've never needed an attorney for anything before and am not sure if this is a case worth trying. Thank you.

Re: Wrongful termination - denial of disability benefits

You have a a jumble of potential Workers Comp and wrongful termination/ADA issues. IF you are not union, then prepare a thorough chronology of events and then contact me to discuss the facts and possible civil litigation remedies, and how they would coordinate with a WCAB filing.
