Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Apartment lease question

Since we have signed our lease our apartment prices came down. When I called the leasing office and asked if we will get the new reduced price if we sign another lease, the lady told me no it would be the same amount it was when we signed our first lease. Is this allowed or would they have to give us the price they are advertising when we sign a new lease?

Re: Apartment lease question

You entered into a contract with your Landlord for a certain rate. The Landlord is not obligated to reduce the rate, even if market conditions have changed since the contract was created.
