Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

rental property

We have had issued to us, 4 notices in 4 months to enter our premises from our APT manager. Not one time was it for repairs or upgrades to our unit. The 4th notice was actually with a contractor. I had had enough. The 4th time I refused. No other tenant that I asked had received 4 requests. We have changed our schedule to come home from work, then cancelled on. We have been told our flowers are a fire hazard, (on a roof width of 5ft and lenght of 10ft)although the window leads to a 20ft drop in an enclosed alley. I feel as if I am being singled out. The Property manager is very hostile, and so is her boss. At what point is it considered harrassment? And privacy is being violated? Where can I find rights of tenants? I have researched the net, all the sites are vague on these topics. When problems were brought up to our Prop. MGR boss, she insisted that 30 days noticed would be fine and she would give our deposit back (But I think that she is coaxing us in to breaking our lease - causing is a ). There is no where to turn with this apartment complex. What do you suggest we do?

Re: rental property

You probably have a law suit. This is extremely excessive.

I would retain an attorney to write a strong letter at this point, demanding that these intrusions be curtailed.

You could also move, break lease, and cite the breech 0f your right to quiet enjoyment of the premises.

If you need more, please feel free to e-mail my office.
