Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Depo disease

How can I persue a case against the manufacturer/ Distributer of Depo Provera birth controll shot. Upon receiveing ONE shot, I have been diagnosed with male pattern baldness (I am a 22 year old woman), severe nodular acne, and continue to have severe abdominal cramping and angry moods and it has been a year since administered. I have doctor and dermatologist records, and witnesses to pain and suffering. There are several other women out there who have similar and worse side affects to Depo; side affects of which were not explained when administered. I want to know who and how to sue. I have been in hell for a year, please help. Thank you for your help.

Re: Depo disease

Thank you for your inquiry.

The practical reality is that a substantial litigation must be initiated to bring such an action which will likely have elements of professional malpractice and/or product liability. Solid and thorough research and investigation should be conducted to determine the factual and scientific basis for commencing legal action.

In sum, the answer to your question of how to pursue such a case is to find an attorney that is experienced and that you trust. That attorney should conduct an assessment for you and, if appropriate, aggressively pursue the action on your behalf.

Please don't hesitate to contact my office should you need assistance. I would be happy to discuss the case with you and assess whether it is a case we might accept.
