questionable conduct of attorney

our attorney was in trust of a large sum of money, which, he, without permission, invested in startig a personal small business for himself, that money was intended for our monthy mortgage payments, which he didnot make, putting our loan in default,and when asked about our money he has yet to reply, what should we do?

This is a serious violaton by the attorney.

How do you know he used the money for those purposes?

You need to immediately demand, in writing, to him, that he provide an accounting and provide to you the monies. You may need to contact the State Bar and several other steps thereafter.
