Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Statue of limitations

During a recent civil litigation over title to real property (I won)- the opposing attorney sent me a settlement offer in the content of extortion. My question is this, is there a statue of limitations on reporting him to the state bar ? or perhaps the district attorney ?

Re: Statue of limitations

If it's in the context of a settlement offer, you probably should not consider it to be extortion, unless it's under penalty of death of physical harm! You can always reject the settlement demand/offer, and proceed with the litigation, as you did.
