Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

carpeting

Back in Oct my landlord was cited by the Health Dept. for some violations in my apt. The carpet being one of them . On 3/19/08 manager calls me at about noon and tells me I need to get everything out of my apt where carpeting is because are coming at 8:00 am. to install new carpeting. I live in a studio and so I completely filled my kitchen upto where you can not use stove ,micro or get to any cupboards, just able to open the frig. about a foot also filled tub and shower to whereit is not usable. on 3/20/08 workers show up and remove old carpeting and said they would be back at 8:00am to install wood flooring I told them I was told I was getting carpeting and would rather have carpet. On 3/21/08 the manager comes by and says that if I want new carpet it is going to be $25.00 more a month so I asked if it would be installed today and he asured it would so I agreed because all my furniture has been sitting fo the past 2 days and night. at about 2:30 pm Fri. someone comes by and measures the area and says that he has to turn in bid to office and if they want him to do the job he could come back in the morning (sat.) and install it.I didn't hear from anybody an dmy manager tells me sat. that they would be here today !:00 pm nada ? 2 do
