Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in California

My parents hired a lawyer to help them on their modification loan for their house. The lawyer made a mistake and filed them for bankcruptcy without my parents authorization or without them knowing. They only found out after they got a note from the bank that their account is frozen due to the bankcruptcy filing. We contact the lawyer and told them the situation, he said they accidentally filed for bankcruptcy. They filed a dismissal of the bankruptcy but they didnt include that they made a mistake on the dismissal claim. Instead their reason was Failure to attend 341 meeting. The bankruptcy was dismissed. Do we have a case against the lawyer for filing bankruptcy without any of my parents signature?
